Pantoprazole in Gerdonil-D tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach, helping relieve symptoms of acid- related disorders and allowing sufficient time to heal ulcers in the stomach and duodenum . Domperidone in Gerdonil-D tablet is a prokinetic agent that acts by normalizing the movements of the stomach and intestine, allowing food to pass more easily through the stomach and helping empty the stomach more effectively.

Most side effects of Gerdonil-D tablet do not require any medical attention and disappear or reduce to a negligible level as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or make you feel uneasy. The common side effects include dry mouth, headache, dizziness, diarrhea, nausea and mild stomach discomfort. Every patient need not necessarily experience all or any of these side effects but it helps to be aware of the possibilities.
