Take B-Stat tablet regularly in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. This may change from time to time according to how your body is responding. Your cholesterol level should be checked at regular intervals. Keep taking this medicine, even if you feel well or your cholesterol levels are controlled. If you stop it without consulting your doctor, your cholesterol levels could rise again and put you at risk of serious cardiac complications. Atorvastatin in B-Stat tablet works by blocking an enzyme that is required by the liver to make cholesterol. It thus lowers the level of cholesterols such as LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and VLDL (Very Low Density Lipoprotein). As VLDL contains high level of triglycerides, Atorvastatin indirectly reduces their level too.

Most side effects of B-Stat tablet do not require any medical attention and disappear or reduce to a negligible level as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or make you feel uneasy. The most common side effects include muscle pain, weakness, nausea, headache, and stomach pain.
